With this page we start this issue’s bit of folklore proper – Y Chadee. This is a little known folk-tale from the Isle of Man, first records by W. Ralf Hall Caine in Annals of the Magic Isle in 1926, though I’m most familiar with Peter Berresford Ellis’s retelling. It’s an interesting little tale, a variant on a grail / purity quest. I like it quite a bit, so I’ve used it here 😀
